Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:JNPR), the leader in high-performance networking, today announced it was named "Company of the Year" in the Network Security Appliances category at the 2008 VARBusiness Annual Report Card (ARC) awards gala, taking first place in both channel support and partnership. The ARC award marks the second year in a row Juniper Networks has secured top honors in the Network Security Appliances category.

Furthermore, Juniper Networks received an ARC award for overall Channel Partnership in both the Network Security Appliances and Enterprise Networking Infrastructure categories. As such, the company was measured by key partner criteria and recognized for its leadership in the areas of: revenue and profit potential, return on investment, ease of doing business, training, solution provider program, communication, partner portal and channel conflict management.

The annual VARBusiness ARC awards recognize outstanding partner programs and superb vendor service in 18 major product and service categories, including: enterprise network infrastructure, mobile computers, mainstream business servers, voice networking hardware, data and information management software, and network security appliances. Category winners are selected based on the survey results of more than 5,000 systems integrators, IT consulting organizations, value-added resellers, solution providers and software developers.

Ongoing Channel Leadership

As further recognition, Everything Channel's VARBusiness Magazine named Juniper Networks Vice President of Worldwide Channel Strategy and Operations Donna Grothjan one of the 50 Most Powerful Women Of The Channel. The honor marks the second year in a row Grothjan has been named to the prestigious list, which recognizes the IT industry's top 50 female channel executives.

Under Grothjan's leadership, Juniper's channel team has successfully executed against major channel infrastructure initiatives including a new Opportunity Registration Program, as well as enhanced distribution programs and an expanded distribution footprint.
