(NASDAQ:JNPR), the leader in high-performance networking, today announced that RETN, one of the leading network carriers in Russia, has deployed the Juniper Networks MX-series Ethernet Services Routers to create a faster, more reliable and service-enabling network infrastructure. RETN provides high-performance network capacity and transport services for its service provider customers, who depend upon the RETN network to deliver high-capacity, bandwidth-intensive services and applications.

The Juniper Networks MX960 ESR delivers up to 960 Gbps of switching and routing capacity and optimized for emerging Ethernet network architectures and services. The MX960 combines the established reliability and service flexibility of JUNOS software with a best-in-class hardware platform purpose-built for the most demanding carrier applications. It offers support for high-performance multicast, unmatched scalability, price-performance improvements and stability in the core network for service providers delivering multiplay services to subscribers. The MX480 delivers up to 480Gbps of switching and routing capacity in a smaller form factor and shares the same line cards, switch fabrics, route engines and operating system as the MX960.
