(NASDAQ:JNPR), the leader in high-performance networking, today announced that Scottsdale, AZ based AmazingMail.com, Inc., a leader in advanced direct mail marketing solutions has deployed the Juniper Networks EX-series Ethernet switches and Secure Services Gateway (SSG) firewalls to significantly lower IT costs and simplify network and data center operations. By replacing the company's incumbent switching and security products with Juniper high-performance network infrastructure, AmazingMail.com has increased switching performance tenfold and tripled virtual private network performance.

"Our recently deployed networking products had quickly proven to be limited in performance, slow to adapt and costly and complex to manage, and we knew we needed to proactively simplify our network architecture to align our network to our rapidly evolving business requirements," said Larry Prine, lead systems administrator for AmazingMail.com, Inc. "We were also paying significantly for a service contract on the network equipment and we weren't realizing the level of service or return on investment we had been promised. To compete and win in a fluctuating economic environment, AmazingMail.com set an operational objective to contain and lower recurring expenses while maintaining exceptional levels of customer service. With technology at the core of its business, AmazingMail.com sought ways to gain greater efficiency across its IT operations. Based on the recommendations from The I.T. Workshop, a Juniper Networks Elite J-Partner, AmazingMail.com deployed Juniper Networks EX 4200 series Ethernet switches with Virtual Chassis(TM) technology and Juniper Networks SSG 320M firewall/VPN appliances in its corporate data center, and an EX 3200 series fixed-configuration Ethernet switch and an SSG 140 firewall/VPN in its production print center. The company also deployed EX 4200 series switches with Virtual Chassis technology and SSG 320M firewall/VPN's in its corporate headquarters.

By leveraging the single rack-unit EX 4200 series switches with Virtual Chassis technology in favor of traditional chassis-based systems, AmazingMail.com reduced its data center footprint from 15 rack units to four at its greatest point. The company also has the potential to halve its monthly costs by consolidating from two racks down to a single rack at its ISP co-location site while achieving greater throughput, manageability and reliability. The embedded JWeb software enables AmazingMail.com to perform precise, device-level management, monitoring and configuration operations from a central location to help maintain trouble-free operations. The EX-series switches, powered by JUNOS(R) software, provide AmazingMail.com the same carrier-class performance and reliability that Juniper brings to the world's most-demanding service provider networks.
