Aug 06, 2008 (Datamonitor via COMTEX News Network) --
Juniper Networks has launched a security management product to offer unified management functions across its routing, switching and security network infrastructure.
Juniper said Network Security Manager, NSM, offers centralized management for its J-series services routers, EX-series Ethernet switches, Secure Access SSL VPN and firewall/VPN and Intrusion Detection and Prevention appliances, and Unified Access Control solution.
It said NSM simplifies network infrastructure management by providing device and security policy configuration, monitoring, reporting tools, and investigative tools for potential security threats. Other features include XML schema management architecture and open SOAP/XML API.
Mike Harding, vice president of network management at Juniper, said: "With our latest capabilities in NSM, device technicians, network administrators, and security administrators can now work together to improve management efficiency and security, reduce overhead, and lower operating costs."
