Center to Host Hiring Event for the 2008 Holiday Season
SEATTLE, Aug 28, 2008 (BUSINESS WIRE) --
Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) today announced a hiring event for more
than 250 full-time and part-time seasonal customer service positions for
its Kennewick, Wash., customer service center, which is operated by AMZN
wacs, Inc.
Candidates should be highly motivated with drive, ambition and a passion
for providing customers a first-class shopping experience. Full-time and
part-time seasonal customer service positions are available, with
competitive starting wages of $9.50 per hour. There is a seasonal bonus
opportunity of an additional $1 for every hour worked during the months
of October, November and December. The Kennewick center is open from
5:45 a.m. -- 10 p.m., seven days a week.
When: The hiring event will be held on Sept. 4 from 11 a.m. to 7
p.m. Candidates should have a high school degree (or equivalent).
Computer and Internet navigation skills, as well as excellent written
and verbal communication skills, are also required. Previous customer
service experience is preferred.
