NEW YORK
Telecom service providers opened mixed Monday as Wall Street retreated after Microsoft pulled its bid for Yahoo. Sprint Nextel jumped following reports that Germany's Deutsche Telekom AG is considering a bid for the troubled wireless carrier.
Here is a look at how some key telecom stocks performed Monday morning:
AT&T Inc. fell 28 cents to $39.85.
Sprint Nextel Corp. rose 57 cents, or 7.2 percent, to $8.46.
Verizon Communications Inc. fell 60 cents to $38.99.
Qwest Communications International Inc. rose 9 cents to $5.50.
